Before you can use UCPlus on your handset, you must ensure the firmware is updated to the latest version. I's also a good idea to keep your handset up to date as bug fixes and new features may come out from time to time.
Firstly, you will need to download the latest firmware file for you handset. Please go to Handset Firmware and download the correct firmware for your handset from our portal, i.e. D4 or D5. Once done, access the web interface of your handset, please refer to The Basics - Handset Configuration if you are unsure how to do this.
Once in the web interface, navigate to System, Upgrade. Then click the Select button next to System Image File and select the firmware file you just downloaded onto your PC. Once done, the location of the file will be shown.
IMPORTANT: Before clicking Upgrade, ensure you have the correct file, i.e. D4 or D5 to match the handset. If you upload the wrong file, it may cause the handset to operate unexpectedly or fail to work at all.
Once upgrade is clicked, the handset will update its firmware and reboot. You will see a notification of this on the handset LCD screen and in the web interface. Once the handset has rebooted, either press the down navigational key or log back into the web interface to check the firmware has been updated.
The version shown should be that of the file you uploaded. If you encounter any difficulty, please contact Support.
